Happy Habitat Brings Color & Joy to Wander February 09, 2015 16:40
I was thrilled to place the very first order for Wander today from a maker that I came across at the recent NYNOW Gift Show. In a sea of trade show booths, the bright colors and lively patterns of her throw blankets really stood out. And after learning more about Karrie Kaneda and her brand, Happy Habitat, I just had to have them!
Kaneda is from Kansas City and started Happy Habitat after getting laid off from a job in advertising. She loves color, she loves cozy and she loves recycled cotton...which is the primary material in her eco-friendly throws.
She says throw blankets are the perfect canvas to dress up your bed or really any part of your home. Happy Habitat goods are custom-made, in America, from recycled cotton. All throws are durable and washable. Kaneda has two kids and didn't want to create products that required special treatment or couldn't be used to make pillow forts.
What's not to love about someone who thinks about pillow forts in the design process and employs the tagline, "Nap like a champ!".
I hope you enjoy the throws as much as I do. They should be ready to ship beginning on February 20, 2015. To pre-order send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
